The Group
Shoemakers is the name of the entity that brings together four other children's shoe brands around Pom d'Api. With over a century of experience and tradition, and a relentless quest to offer the highest quality products season after season, Shoemakers has grown with the times. Passion for the craft and creativity have made Shoemakers one of the last remaining French manufacturers of children's shoes, and one of the leading brands of international renown in this field.
In Chambretaud, in the Vendée region, the group has its own design office, where patternmakers and model-makers work on developing new models thanks to the know-how handed down by previous generations. Colors and materials are studied according to current trends. Soles, fastenings, linings and accessories are carefully chosen for their functionality, quality and modernity. Every season, the Shoemakers design department imagines almost 100 new models, of which 50% are selected to enrich the collections.
All stages of the manufacturing process are carried out by in-house teams: leather sourcing, prototype production in the Chambretaud workshop, shoe production in our factory in Tunisia. Pattern-makers follow the production of their models right through to boxing.
The Group's brands are sold in numerous retailers and through a network of Pom d'Api boutiques in France and abroad, from Paris to Moscow, via Antwerp, London, Copenhagen, New York and Beirut.
