The Anti-Twist© Process
A sole featuring a heel shank. This reinforcement prevents any risk of twisting in the ankle and instep. This targeted support allows the front of the shoe to be very flexible, while providing slight support at the back. This model supports the natural movement with every step.
Description
This bootie incorporates the technical features of the Stand Up line, with an elastic closure and a self-locking inner zipper that make it easy to put on while ensuring precise ankle support. It’s the ideal model for a child’s first steps. It was designed to combine support, flexibility, and respect for the foot’s natural development. Its main feature is the patented Anti-Twist© system, integrated into the sole at the heel: it helps prevent ankle twisting while maintaining great flexibility in the forefoot. The sole is flat and has no arch support, allowing the foot to develop naturally. The upper and lining are made entirely of leather, ensuring breathability and comfort. It also features a padded collar and an asymmetrical heel counter that supports the back of the foot without restricting it. The outsole, made of flexible rubber, provides good traction and true freedom of movement. This model was designed exclusively in our design studio in the Vendée region and embodies all of Pom d'Api ’s expertise in first-step shoes.
